Goats

The two silly billies! They are both African Pygmy goats - Coko, the brown and white goat, and Onyx, the black and white goat. They love eating, sleeping, and having play (and sometimes real) battles. They enjoy basking the sun on hot spring and summer afternoons, and despise the cold, wet autumn and winter. 


Onyx Felix: As the leader of the two-man tribe, Onyx’s profile must come first. Onyx is the black and white goat. He wears his prized beard below his chin, and has long, shaggy reddish-brown “pants”, as we call them. He is very shy, and often looks down upon new people, but once he gets to know them, he’s nearly as friendly as Coko. Onyx is the obvious leader of them. He was very strict about what’s what and who’s who and where Coko should and shouldn’t be. If Coko comes anywhere near Onyx’s food, Onyx flips out on him. If he wants Coko’s food, he gets Coko’s food, with no argument between them whatsoever. Onyx is their born leader.

Coko S’more: Coko is the Santa Claus of the goat world. From his jiggling pot belly to his ho-ho-ho jolliness and non-stop friendliness, he is an all-around Christmas character.  (And he also reminds me of a s'more!) Although, because of this pot belly of his, he grows hungry very fast, and when he wants food, he really wants it. If he sees a branch lush with fresh maple leaves, and a person is standing nearby, he’ll look from the branch to the person, branch to person, branch to person, branch to person, until the person is driven completely insane and simply must feed him the branch. He’s actually quite clever this way. Strangely enough, in spite of his heavy weight compared to his brother, he is the submissive one, not Onyx. Although they’ll squabble from time to time, Coko is always defeated.
